Room parents play a key role in supporting their child's classroom and helping to build a strong community among the classroom families. As a room parent your primary responsibility is to support your teacher throughout the school year and act as a liaison between the teacher and the classroom families. In this position you may: recruit and coordinate volunteers for field trips/class parties/in-class activities, manage the collection and disbursement of class funds, organize teacher appreciation gifts and activities, and facilitate communication between the teacher and classroom parents.
